As a Senior Platform (DevOps) Engineer you will be part of a dedicated platform team and work on a diverse array of products and systems using a variety of technologies to facilitate developer teams to deliver quality software to the customers.
You are a strong communicator and have experience with guiding change management processes. Your work consists of a variety of technical tasks including:
π οΈ Designing, building, automating, documenting, configuring, securing and monitoring of the Platform on which the application stack is hosted.
π¬ Technical discussions and observations working alongside other disciplines within the business.
π Integration of systems, including third-party ones, into the Platform.
Key Responsibilities
β‘ Facilitation of Development and Operations (3rd line Tech Services) to work faster, better, and more reliable
π Faster: build light and only necessary features
π Better: have short feedback loops to ensure higher quality
π More reliable: design and implement robust solutions as part of the Platform
π οΈ Manage and automate standard features on top of the Platform provided through a self-service platform (IDP – Internal Developer Platform)
π Deliver and maintain CI/CD pipelines
π§βπ» Write Infrastructure as Code to deliver infrastructure as reusable building blocks
π Provide observability as a feature for development, operations and business
π Ensure proper backup and restore capabilities and Disaster Recovery solutions for the platform
π Continuous Assessments – Feedback and Monitoring of the Platform, systems built upon it and analysis of this to mark and work on areas for improvement
π Working with / integrating with other services and platforms
π Investigation and analysis into new solutions, tools and processes to determine feasibility / viability within the Platform
π§βπ« Guidance on / working with best practices and industry standards
π Continual improvement (self and team) via ensuring constant research & training in newer technology

πΎ Infrastructure as Code

π± Background and interest in emerging technologies and methodologies
